How to install android 4.2.2 in hTC Explorer



              


HTC’s most reliable and high demand affordable, economy smartphone, Time to time new OS updates for HTC Explorer gets released by unofficial developers. HTC Explorer now can be upgraded to the latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS. Many of you might have been waiting for this update to come and now you all are allowed to load this new OS firmware on your HTC Explorer. Here’s how you can upgrade your HTC Explorer to Android 4.2.2 Android OS with CyanogenMod 10.1. Take a look!

Note:
This update is only available for HTC’s Explorer smartphone. You can’t be upgrade any other Android device with this tutorial. 

Requirements:


  •   Your phone must be rooted. For rooting your phone click here.
  •   Your device should be charged up to 80%
  •  You need to have a proper data cable to connect your device to PC
  •  Have a good backup of your data before applying any update on it

 Instructions

  Step 1:
• First download Cyanogen Mod 10.1 Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Firmware. You can download it by following the below link.
• Download Cyanogen Mod 10.1 Android Jelly Bean. Download from here

Step 2:
• Download latest Google Apps to install on your new OS. Download from here

 Step 3:
• Now, connect your HTC Explorer by using a proper data cable to your PC.

 Step 4:
• Copy both the downloaded files on your device’s SD card.

Note:
      Do not extract any files. Keep them in ZIP files only.

Step 5:
• Now switch off your device or remove battery and insert.

 Step 6:
• Press Volume down key and power button together for 10 sec then bootloader mode menu is displayed. Select recovery option on the menu.

Note:
       Use volume keys to navigate and Power button to confirm choice.

                                               For CWM recovery only



Step 1:
• After rebooting in ClockWorkMode Recovery you need to select wipe data /factory reset.

 Step 2 :
• Select wipe dalvik cache and wipe cache partition one by one.

 Step 3 :
• Select install zip from SD card from the recovery menu.

 Step 4 :
• And select option chooses zip from sdcard.

 Step 5 :
• After downloaded files is navigated press next.

 Step 6 :
• The installation process starts. You are not required to do anything.

 Step 7:
• After completion of installation of ROM, Repeat process from step 3 to install Gapps file from sdcard.

 Step 8:
• Finally, Select +++Go Back++++ and then Reboot System now option.

 Step 9 :
• Your device will reboot. It takes a few minutes for setting up OS environment wait until device start completely.
Congratulation! Now your HTC Explorer runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS now.

                                           For TWRP recovery/ other recovery


Step 1:
• After rebooting in TWRP/ team win Recovery you need to select wipe data /factory reset from wipe .

Step 2 :
• Select wipe dalvik cache and wipe cache partition one by one from wipe. Go back to home

Step 3 :
• Select install from the recovery menu.

 Step 4 :
• And select downloaded zip from sdcard.

 Step 5 :
• After downloaded files is navigated press next.

 Step 6 :
• The installation process starts. You are not required to do anything.

 Step 7:
• After completion of installation of ROM, Repeat process from step 3 to install Gapps file from sdcard.

 Step 8:
• Finally, Select reboot and then System option to reboot into system.
